Resident Service Technician (Robotic Forklifts / AGVs) — Ohio (On-site)
We’re hiring a Resident Service Technician based in Ohio to support after-sales maintenance operations for robotic forklift/AGV systems installed at customer sites across the Americas region.
This is a customer-facing, hands-on role where you’ll own reliability, performance, and maintenance of advanced autonomous material handling equipment—working directly with on-site teams and acting as a key link between the customer and the engineering/service organisation.
What you’ll be doing
- Maintain and repair a fleet of robotic forklifts at a primary customer site (up to 10% travel to secondary sites)
- Troubleshoot and repair robotic lift truck equipment including lasers, sensors, and communication systems
- Perform preventive maintenance (lubrication, cleaning, replacement of worn parts)
- Document action plans, interventions, and final resolutions for support services
- Calibrate robotic AGVs to ensure optimal performance
- Conduct routine inspections, testing, and quality checks
- Perform robot retrofits and hardware upgrades
- Support installation phases and project ramp-up
- Provide on-the-job training to customer users when required
- Test new hardware and support continuous improvement initiatives
What we’re looking for (must-haves)
- 3–5 years of mechanical experience in automotive, aviation, or forklift maintenance
- Solid knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, and charging systems
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
- Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset
- Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport
- High school diploma (Associate’s degree preferred)
- Ability to pass a background check
Nice to have
- Electrical forklift experience (strong plus)
- Certified Forklift Technician (CFT)
- Spanish or French language skills
