What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian position at Kennie's Marketplace?
The Custodian is responsible to perform duties as directed by the Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager for the successful operation of the store. The Custodian is responsible to see that all Kennie's customers are provided with the best customer service available.
Requirements:
- EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: No prior experience required. Training will be provided.
- LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of this organization.
- MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: None.
- REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Deep cleaning display cases in all departments.
- Deep cleaning shelves, carts, hand baskets.
- Deep cleaning bathrooms.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation at the front of the store and in the parking lot; picking up litter, emptying garbage cans, cleaning spills and removing snow.
- Cooperate with fellow department employees and with other departments when inter-departmental or store wide promotions warrant.
- Responsible to obey all safety standards as well as loss prevention standards as outlined by the company.
- Perform other appropriate duties as directed by the Office Manager, Assistant Office Manager, Cash Office, Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager.
- Adheres to company uniform policy and name badge policy.
