We take pride in our beautifully maintained grounds and are looking to expand our team with a dedicated Horticulturist.
Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Horticulturist to lead the design, installation, and ongoing care of ornamental and seasonal flower beds throughout the clubhouse grounds and golf course. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in landscape design, plant care, and hands-on horticulture, who enjoys working in a collaborative outdoor environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, plant, and maintain seasonal and perennial flower beds at the clubhouse, entrance areas, and select on-course locations
- Monitor plant health, soil quality, irrigation needs, and pest/disease management
- Coordinate with the Golf Course Superintendent and Grounds team to integrate floral displays with overall landscape goals
- Ensure beds are clean, well-mulched, pruned, weeded, and seasonally refreshed
- Source plants and materials in coordination with management and within budget
- Assist with other landscaping and grounds duties as needed
Qualifications
- Degree or certification in Horticulture, Landscape Design, or related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in ornamental plant care, garden design, or similar preferred
- Strong knowledge of local plant species, soil types, and growing conditions
- Ability to work independently and manage seasonal planting schedules
- Experience with irrigation systems and basic garden machinery
- A keen eye for aesthetics, plant combinations, and color coordination
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in varying outdoor conditions
Preferred Skills
- PA pesticide applicator license or willingness to obtain
- Small equipment operation (rototillers, blowers, etc.)

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
