Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate nursing staff to ensure seamless delivery of patient care across all shifts.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medication administration.
• Manage complex clinical situations such as acute pain management, IV infusion therapy, airway management, and catheterization procedures.
• Oversee medication administration in compliance with HIPAA regulations and safety protocols.
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to document medical records accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure infection control practices are followed rigorously to maintain a sterile environment and prevent healthcare-associated infections.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on diagnostic evaluation, case management, and discharge planning for post-acute or long-term care patients.
• Maintain compliance with long-term care regulations and documentation standards for skilled nursing facilities or assisted living environments.

Experience

• Valid LVN license with current state licensure required; additional certifications in CPR/BLS preferred.
• Demonstrated care experience within LTC settings
• Proven background working with diverse populations including geriatrics or individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-10), medical terminology, and electronic health records
• Prior roles involving hospice care, infectious disease management, or acute pain management are a plus.
• Knowledge of long-term care regulations and experience working in skilled nursing facilities or assisted living communities is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to educate patients and caregivers effectively while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies.

Pay: From $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 – 48.0 per week
