This is a Long-Term Substitute opening for a Lead Teacher in the Therapeutic Learning Center (TLC) Program at the John F Kennedy School The Kennedy School is a Grade K -4 Elementary School. This position pays $165/day and the duration of this assignment is until the end of the 2026-2027 school year.
The TLC Program provides specialized mental health support for students whose difficulties with emotional regulation interfere with their ability to make meaningful progress toward their educational goals in school.
The TLC Teacher works with a group of professionals, including Paraprofessionals, a Social Worker, a BCBA, and an RBT to provide a therapeutic environment for students, including access to counseling services, positive behavioral interventions, and support throughout a student's day.
Preferred candidates should be MA certified as an elementary Special Education Teacher with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
