Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness and promote mental well-being
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when required
  • Monitor patients’ vital signs, observe health status, and report any changes to healthcare professionals promptly
  • Administer medications accurately following care plans while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy
  • Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment in accordance with health standards
  • Support clients with specialized needs such as dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, autism spectrum disorder, or developmental disabilities through tailored care strategies

Requirements

  • Proven experience in home & community care or assisted living environments; group home experience is highly valued
  • Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to recognize signs requiring medical attention
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid; additional training in hospice or memory care is a plus
  • Familiarity with medical procedures including medication administration and vital signs monitoring
  • Ability to lift heavy objects safely and assist with mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident’s (personal assistance devices)
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards in healthcare settings
  • Excellent communication skills for working effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Valid driver’s license preferred for travel between client locations; flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
