Kennebec Behavioral Health (KBH) is looking for an A/P & Accounting Specialist to join our Financial Services team. The position is located at 12 Park St, Waterville, Maine.

The A/P & Accounting Specialist provides accounting and clerical support to KBH's Fiscal Services Department, with responsibilities that include:
- Process accounts payable documentation, daily vouchers, and worksheets
- Assist with general ledger functions and prepare journal entries
- Research, track, and resolve accounting discrepancies and documentation issues
- Maintain checkbook registers and related financial records
- Prepare weekly cash statements
- Assist with audit preparation and other accounting projects
- Collaborate with team members across the organization to keep financial operations running smoothly
Qualifications: Associate degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field; equivalent experience may be substituted. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with strong computer skills and comfort learning financial systems. Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team member with a dependable, professional, and solution-oriented approach.

Pay: $23.50 - $25.00 per hour
