Qualifications
- Valid NJDOE Instructional Certificate or County Substitute Certificate requiring a minimum of thirty (30) college credits, as applicable.
- Prior coaching, athletic, or extracurricular experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the sport/activity, including rules, safety procedures, skill development, and age-appropriate coaching practices.
- Ability to supervise students in a safe, positive, and inclusive environment while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, and participation.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, families, and administration.
- Availability to attend practices, games, competitions, events, and/or activities during the assigned season.
- Must possess or obtain CPR certification, complete Sports First Aid, and complete the required components of the NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching course.
- Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
