Position Summary:
The General Manager is responsible for the overall strategy, leadership, and management of the Branch Office. This role ensures client satisfaction, operational efficiency, and alignment with organizational policies while driving profitability, revenue growth, and achievement of key performance objectives. The General Manager should be the face of the organization in the addressable market.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage DFH distribution branch operations, including workload delegation and team performance
- Build a unified culture across distribution and service businesses to maximize opportunity and ensure seamless end-to-end customer solutions.
- Mentor project managers and provide guidance on project challenges, and accelerate industry knowledge and adherence to best practices
- Oversee sales forecasting, change order management, and administrative functions.
- Monitor project profitability, margins, and revenue retention; analyze financial performance.
- Complete ownership of Revenue & EBITDA targets and ensure team alignment with goals and objectives.
- Maintain contract integrity and minimize disputes or credits.
- Ensure staff development through training, coaching, and succession planning.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and best practices.
- Collaborate with internal departments on strategy, process improvements, and alignment.
- Represent the organization with clients, vendors, and industry partners.
- Ensure clear communication and strong relationships across all stakeholders.
Work Relationships and Scope:
Reports to the Regional Vice President. Works closely with department heads and oversees Project Management, Sales, and Production teams. Engages externally with clients, general contractors, vendors, and design teams.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in the Door, Frame, & Hardware (Division 8, 10, 28) industry with increasing experience, and both Operations and Project Management roles.
- Previous P&L ownership is required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proven leadership in managing teams and operations.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and related software.
- Valid driver’s license and insurability.
- Ability to foster customer relationships and uphold organizational values.
Working Conditions:
Office-based with regular travel. High interaction with internal teams and external partners. May occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. Requires adaptability and professionalism in a fast-paced environment.

Salary: $175,000 - $210,000 bonus, DOE
