Kendal at Hanover is seeking a full-time RN/LPN (evening and night shift). The RN/LPN provides administrative and clinical support in a professional manner to all nursing staff. The RN/LPN also provides professional nursing care as determined by the needs of the resident and their plan of care, including but not limited to: dispensing medications, administering treatments, documentation, and performing assessments in relation to health status problems of residents. The RN/LPN also participates as a member of the interdisciplinary care team.
*LOW RATIOS, NO ON CALL DUTIES*
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring satisfactory integration of new health center residents by completing a thorough unit orientation with the resident and/or family member.
- Acting as a support for new residents and their family throughout the moving process.
- Providing a customer service model for staff in the delivery of person centered care.
- Displaying creative problem solving skills and assures quality of care by direct observation and resident visits to ensure interdisciplinary care plan followed medications and treatments administered in accordance with MD/NP orders.
- Overseeing schedules, assignments and evaluates staff, adjusting hours/shifts as needed.
- Completing comprehensive assessments of residents as needed to monitor health status, acute changes and appropriate care interventions including Minimum Data Set (MDS), Resident Assessment tool and Vitalize 360.
- Assisting independent living residents with urgent health care needs by responding to pendant alarms or emergency calls in a timely manner; evaluates the resident’s condition; contacts the medical provider or arranges for hospital transfer as appropriate.
- Maintaining ongoing communication regarding nursing staffing needs, clinical updates, and critical incidents with the Director of Nursing.
- Supervising Nursing staff including checking that documentation has been accurately completed, that assignments are carried our and appropriate care is being rendered.
RN Pay Rate: $44.43 - $55.29 per hour
FLSA Job Type: Non-exempt
Schedule: 7:00 - 3:30 PM, including weekend shifts
