JOB SUMMARY
The CNC Operator is a skilled position responsible for operation of CNC machines for the fabrication of detail parts with 1st time quality and delivery.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Load parts and run machine
· Check parts to engineering data and verify product conformity
· Keep track of all parts run and accurately record time/qty in the ERP system
· Notify Lead of any machine malfunctions (maintenance or program related)
· Perform benchtop deburr and blending of parts to customer specifications
· Cooperate / work with teammates from all departments
· Promote a positive attitude toward the Company and its customers
· Be accountable for required assignments; time management; successful completion of assigned work
and reports
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Operate CNC machines from set-up sheets and verbal instructions
- Interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and basic GD&T
- Use measuring equipment to verify part accuracy
- Good communication / problem solving skills
- Experience Using:
- Calipers
- Mic
- Scales
- Square
- Height Gauge
- Radius Gauges
- Dial Indicator
- Measuring instruments
EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Preferred degree in Machine Tool Technology or 2 years CNC experience
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Primary work in manufacturing environment with some exposure to heat, cold and noise conditions
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
