What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Machinist or Operator (2nd shift) position at Kencoa Aerospace?
JOB SUMMARY
The CNC Machinist 1 is a skilled position responsible for the set-up and operation of CNC machines for the fabrication of detail parts with 1st time quality and delivery.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Set-up and operate machine from set-up sheets and verbal instructions
· Perform daily machine maintenance and checking off maintenance log
· Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, CAD / basic GD&T drawings
· Notify Lead of any machine malfunctions (maintenance or program related)
· Use basic measuring equipment for bench top inspection
· Operate manual mills, lathe work and/or tool making
· Cooperate / work with teammates from all departments
· Promote a positive attitude toward the Company and its customers
· Be accountable for required assignments; time management; successful completion of assigned work
and reports
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
· Use measuring equipment to verify part accuracy
· Perform benchtop deburr and blending of parts to customer specifications
· Read basic G & M codes in a CNC program
· Set-up tools and make offsets, both tool and fixture
· Good communication / problem solving skills
EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Preferred degree in Machine Tool Technology or 2 years CNC experience
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Primary work in manufacturing environment with some exposure to heat, cold and noise conditions
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
