Ken's Alignment is seeking a highly organized, customer-focused, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Service Writer / Bookkeeper. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with customers while also managing the financial and administrative side of a busy automotive repair shop.
This is a unique position that combines front-office customer service with bookkeeping and office management responsibilities. The right candidate will become an integral part of our team and help keep both the shop and office running efficiently.
Primary Responsibilities
- Answer incoming phone calls
- Customer Service & Service Writing
- Schedule customer appointments
- Greet customers and provide exceptional customer service
- Check customers in and out
- Explain estimates and invoices
- Process customer payments
- Maintain customer records
Office Administration
- Manage incoming mail and correspondence
- File, scan, and organize paperwork
- Maintain vendor and customer files
- Order office supplies
- General administrative support
Bookkeeping & Accounting
- Accounts Receivable
- Accounts Payable
- Payroll processing
- Bank deposits and reconciliations
- Vendor account management
- Financial record keeping using QuickBooks Online
Shop Support
- Parts ordering and returns
- Warranty and core returns
- Assist technicians and management with administrative needs
- Support day-to-day shop operations
Qualifications Required
- Previous experience using QuickBooks Online
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Professional communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Preferred
- Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Automotive service writing or automotive office experience
- Microsoft Office experience (Outlook, Word, Excel)
While we are happy to train the right candidate on our internal procedures and workflow, applicants should already have a working knowledge of QuickBooks Online.
