JOB TITLE: Wire Shop Inspector

DEPARTMENT: Wire Shop

REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor

SUMMARY:

Walk the shop floor doing in process and final inspecting of electrical frames and panels.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performing inspections on electrical frames and panels.
• Performing point to point ring-out testing.
• Reading and interpreting specifications, layouts and wiring diagrams.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 0 to 2yrs of wiring experience.
• 0 to 2yrs of assembly experience.
• Must be capable of reading and understanding specifications, layouts and wiring diagrams.
• Basic understanding of measurement devices such as tape measures and calipers.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Frequently required to stand for 8 hours
• Frequently required to walk
• Frequently required to climb a ladder
• Frequently required to squat
• Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
• Frequently required to talk or hear
• Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions (non-weather)
• Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts
• While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds for items such as a ladder, step tools or panel jack with frame/panel.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include: Close vision and Color vision
• Additional remarks regarding work environment: Occasionally may need to work around forklift traffic.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
