JOB TITLE: Wire Shop Inspector
DEPARTMENT: Wire Shop
REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor
SUMMARY:
Walk the shop floor doing in process and final inspecting of electrical frames and panels.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performing inspections on electrical frames and panels.
- Performing point to point ring-out testing.
- Reading and interpreting specifications, layouts and wiring diagrams.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 0 to 2yrs of wiring experience.
- 0 to 2yrs of assembly experience.
- Must be capable of reading and understanding specifications, layouts and wiring diagrams.
- Basic understanding of measurement devices such as tape measures and calipers.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Frequently required to stand for 8 hours
- Frequently required to walk
- Frequently required to climb a ladder
- Frequently required to squat
- Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
- Frequently required to talk or hear
- Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions (non-weather)
- Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts
- While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds for items such as a ladder, step tools or panel jack with frame/panel.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include: Close vision and Color vision
- Additional remarks regarding work environment: Occasionally may need to work around forklift traffic.
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
