Kemco Aerospace is a manufacturing organization working closely with large aircraft and weapon systems OEMs, such as Boeing Defense, Bell, RTX/Collins Aerospace, Northrop Grumman and several others to deliver complex design-to-build and build-to print assemblies. Kemco Aerospace provides these assemblies in support of in-service platforms, such as: H-47, V-22, F-35, F-15, F-16, F-18, KC-135, E-2, and weapon systems such as Harpoon and SLAM-ER. Kemco Aerospace is part of the Crestview Aerospace family which is comprised of two (2) manufacturing sites, with operations in St. Louis, Missouri and Crestview, FL, and employs approximately 350 professionals.
The Industrial Engineer plays a critical role in driving operational performance and continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment. This position partners with Production Engineering and cross-functional teams to analyze complex datasets, develop actionable insights, and deliver data-driven solutions that enhance efficiency, productivity, and business outcomes.
This role combines industrial engineering principles with advanced data analytics, focusing on transforming raw data into meaningful, decision-ready information through tools such as Power BI and ERP-based reporting systems.
Principal Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Data Analytics & Reporting
- Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for operational improvement
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and other visualization tools
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable insights for leadership and functional teams
- Create standardized and ad hoc reports to support production, quality, and operational decision-making
Process Improvement & Industrial Engineering
- Evaluate manufacturing processes, workflows, and systems to identify improvement opportunities
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, throughput, and cost reduction
- Develop simplified analytical frameworks to solve complex operational challenges
- Partner with production and engineering teams to define and track key performance indicators (KPIs)
Data Management & Systems Integration
- Develop and maintain databases by integrating data from multiple sources, including ERP systems
- Define and implement data acquisition, transformation, and integration logic (ETL processes)
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency through established data governance practices
- Create and maintain documentation, including data models, mappings, and specifications
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work directly with leadership, engineers, and operations teams to gather requirements and provide updates
- Serve as a key liaison between technical data systems and operational stakeholders
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to all levels of the organization
Professional Requirements, Qualifications & Desired Competencies:
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, or related field. Experience may be substituted for degree.
- 3 years of experience in data analytics within a manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical skills including data mining, modeling, analysis, and visualization
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and/or Excel
- Experience developing reports and dashboards (Power BI preferred)
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills
Preferred
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with ERP systems and manufacturing data structures
- Experience with database design, data modeling, and segmentation techniques
- Programming experience with ETL processes and tools (e.g., XML, JavaScript, or similar frameworks)
- Experience with statistical analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS, SAS)
- Demonstrated success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
Work Environment:
- Primarily works in a manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery and production equipment.
- Requires standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of materials.
- May involve occasional travel to suppliers or other company locations.

Physical Requirements:
Primarily manufacturing/assembly environment. Must be able to work in the following environmental conditions: noise, vibration, proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current. Must be able to bend and reach. Must have close visual acuity such as viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines, and/or assembly or fabrication parts at close distance to the eyes. Must be able to communicate effectively. Must be able to maneuver up to 20 pounds. Will be performing substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
