QC Manager (Intermediate Level)

Reports To: Quality Team Leader

Location: Lebanon TN

Position Summary

The QC Manager (Intermediate Level) is responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and improving quality control processes within the production environment. This position ensures product quality, compliance with standards, and supports continuous improvement initiatives to minimize defects and maximize customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

· Supervise and coordinate daily quality control operations and inspection activities

· Develop, implement, and monitor quality control procedures and standards

· Analyze production and quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement

· Investigate and resolve quality issues, non-conformances, and customer complaints

· Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)

· Train and mentor QC staff on inspection techniques, standards, and best practices

· Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to ensure quality objectives are met

· Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and quality documentation

· Ensure compliance with company, industry, and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO, customer requirements)

· Support and lead continuous improvement activities such as Kaizen, Lean, and TPM

· Participate in internal and external quality audits

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field preferred; associate degree with relevant experience considered

Experience: 3–5 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance in a manufacturing environment

Technical Skills:

· Proficiency with quality control tools, inspection equipment, and statistical analysis

· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards

· Experience with root cause analysis and CAPA processes

Soft Skills:

· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

· Team-oriented with leadership and training abilities

· Good communication and time management

Physical Requirements

· Ability to stand for extended periods and work in production environments

· Occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs), bending, and walking in manufacturing areas

Preferred Certifications

· Six Sigma Green Belt or higher (preferred)

· ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification (a plus)

· OSHA 10 or 30 certification (a plus)
