Duties
- Greet guests as they arrive and provide them with a warm welcome.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize guest flow.
- Communicate wait times effectively to guests and ensure they are comfortable while waiting.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station.
- Assist in answering phone calls with proper phone etiquette, taking reservations, and providing information about the restaurant.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly, enhancing guest relations.
- Utilize Aloha POS system for managing reservations and seating efficiently.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred, especially in restaurant or hotel settings.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Knowledge of food service practices and guest services is an advantage.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- A friendly demeanor with a passion for providing excellent guest experiences.
