Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle surfaces meticulously through sanding, masking, and surface cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply primers, paints, coatings, and clear coats using conventional spray guns or airless paint spraying equipment with precision and consistency.
- Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, welding, and panel alignment to restore vehicle integrity before painting.
- Utilize hand tools, grinders, power tools, and buffing equipment to refine surfaces and achieve a smooth finish.
- Conduct auto restoration tasks such as auto glass replacement, detailing, and surface finishing to deliver a showroom-quality appearance.
- Follow safety protocols by using respiratory protection and other personal protective equipment during all phases of surface preparation and painting.
- Collaborate with team members on auto estimating and customer service to ensure clear communication about repair scope and timelines.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership experience or extensive background in automotive body refinishing is highly preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in auto body repair and vehicle maintenance.
- Proficiency with welding techniques, surface preparation masking, sanding, and automotive buffing.
- Skilled in the use of painting and coating spray guns, grinders, power tools, and airless paint spraying systems.
- Knowledge of automotive surface preparation standards and auto restoration processes.
- Ability to lift heavy parts safely and perform physical tasks required for auto body refinishing projects.
- Excellent customer service skills along with experience in auto estimating are advantageous.
