Position Overview
A regional operations team is seeking a dynamic and highly organized City Launcher to build, train, and maintain a high-quality workforce and deliver exceptional customer experiences in the Chicago region. This part-time, in-field role combines recruiting, training, and field operations to drive successful launches, foster workforce excellence, and directly support key market growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Hiring & Onboarding
- Source, interview, and hire Onsite Support Specialists (OSS) for your assigned region.
- Ensure selected candidates meet quality, reliability, and professionalism standards.
- Own onboarding and ensure new OSS are equipped for success from day one.
Training & Enablement
- Conduct initial and ongoing training for OSS.
- Reinforce process standards, operational playbooks, and participant experience guidelines.
Field Quality & Performance Management
- Coordinate coverage and on-site support for new customer launches within the hub.
- Conduct live shift evaluations, giving direct field feedback and performance coaching.
- Identify, mentor, and act on high and low performers.
Market Development & Ad Hoc Operations
- Support local operational growth, including test orders, restaurant visits, and partner outreach.
- Represent field operations for the region; ensure local market needs are addressed.
Ownership of Hub Performance
- Maintain a strong OSS bench for your region and ensure shift coverage, quality, and readiness.
- Work closely with Shift Leads and central operations to flag risks and maintain high performance.
Qualifications
- 2–5 years’ experience in operations, field management, recruiting, or training roles.
- Strong ability to evaluate, onboard, and manage people in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort giving direct, real-time performance feedback in the field.
- Organized, highly self-directed, and proactive.
- Willingness to regularly work in the field and travel locally.
Preferred:
- Experience with marketplace operations, gig workforce management, or hospitality.
- Experience launching or scaling new operations in a market.
