Senior SAP EWM Functional Consultant

Job Summary

Our client, a leading global provider in the agriculture and manufacturing industry, is seeking a Senior SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) Functional Consultant to join their team! This position is a project-based contract opportunity supporting a new SAP EWM implementation within an existing SAP S/4HANA environment and can be performed remotely, with limited travel to the Kansas pilot site as needed. The consultant will own the functional design and configuration of a new SAP S/4HANA Embedded EWM solution, establishing a pilot template that can ultimately be replicated across additional warehouse and plant locations.

Core Responsibilities

• Own the functional design and hands-on configuration of a new SAP S/4HANA Embedded EWM implementation from requirements through go-live
• Lead requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, solution design, and functional workshops directly with warehouse and business stakeholders
• Translate warehouse and operational requirements into practical SAP EWM processes and system configurations
• Configure and validate EWM functionality and support integration testing, UAT, troubleshooting, and go-live activities
• Assess EWM dependencies and impacts across adjacent SAP processes and coordinate with other functional and technical resources as needed
• Document configuration decisions, business processes, and the EWM template established during the pilot implementation
• Train, mentor, and provide knowledge transfer to internal consultants and business users to support future rollout of the solution

Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)

• Proven hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Embedded Extended Warehouse Management (EWM)
• Completion of at least one full end-to-end SAP EWM implementation with meaningful ownership from requirements gathering through go-live
• Strong hands-on SAP EWM functional configuration experience rather than primarily support, coordination, or project management experience
• Experience leading requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, solution design, configuration, testing, and go-live activities
• Strong functional understanding of warehouse processes including inventory management, receiving, storage, material movements, and outbound processes
• Experience independently leading workshops and translating business and warehouse requirements into SAP EWM solutions
• Strong understanding of EWM dependencies and integration points with other SAP functional areas within an S/4HANA environment

Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)

• Experience completing multiple end-to-end SAP EWM implementations in complex enterprise environments
• Experience with both SAP EWM Basic and Advanced functionality
• Experience supporting SAP EWM within food, animal nutrition, food manufacturing, process manufacturing, or similar industries
• Experience developing reusable SAP EWM templates for deployment across multiple plants or warehouse locations
• Experience training, mentoring, and transferring EWM knowledge to internal functional resources and business users
• Experience supporting large-scale manufacturing, supply chain, or distribution environments
• SAP EWM certification

Work Environment

• Location: Remote
• Preference for candidates located near Minnesota, Kansas, Kansas City, or the broader Midwest, although candidates throughout the U.S. may be considered
• Limited travel to the Kansas pilot site may be required for key workshops and project activities
• Project-based role supporting a new SAP S/4HANA Embedded EWM implementation
• Broader project team is geographically distributed

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $50.00 and $72.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums
