PostgreSQL Database Admin

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a PostgreSQL Database Admin to join their team! This position is located in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

 
Duties:

• Analyze, tune, and optimize database performance, including query analysis, indexing, and partitioning strategies
• Perform regular maintenance, such as backups, restores, upgrades, and patching, to ensure database health and security
• Design, implement, and manage HA/DR solutions to ensure continuous operation and data recoverability
• Design and implement database schemas, partitioning, and indexing strategies for efficient data management
• Monitor and manage database security, responding to security alerts and ensuring data integrity
• Develop and maintain scripts and tools to automate routine tasks and processes

Desired Skills/Experience:

• Experience in the setup and maintenance of database systems within client/server environments
• Skilled in creating tablespace areas, tables, and views, and in performing logical and physical database design
• Knowledgeable in database monitoring, performance tuning, and maintenance procedures
• Experience with clustering and high-availability technology solutions
• Proficient in integrating databases with client/server and Java programming environments
• Strong understanding of the internals of large-scale client/server operating systems

The approximate pay range for this position is between $39.89 and $56.99. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
