What’s a typical day as a Machine Operator? You’ll be:
- Machining steel parts and rail according to specifications, ensuring high-quality output.
- Operating a rail bending machine to fabricate rail components efficiently.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints to meet production requirements.
- Using digital calipers to ensure accuracy in measurements.
- Complying with all safety procedures and operating overhead cranes as needed.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have a High School Diploma or GED.
- Possess a minimum of 6 months machine operator experience (preferred).
- Can multitask and work with minimal supervision.
- Are able to read and write legibly and complete production reports with accuracy.
- Have strong attention to detail with the ability to inspect rail using measuring devices.
- Are quality-oriented and a team player with a complete understanding of safe work practices.
