Ideal Candidates

Candidates must be flexible with scheduling and committed to consistent student support.
Training
- Up to 20 hours of paid professional development focused on effective mathematics instruction, including curriculum workshops and in-class coaching.
- Commitment required from September 2025 through March 2026.
- Minimum of 1 hour per day during school hours for approximately 20 weeks.
- Delivery of 63 lessons (each 45 minutes), plus preparation time.
- Opportunity to teach multiple groups per day, depending on schedule and site assignments.
- Travel to multiple schools in the Fort Worth area may be required.
- Implement the math intervention curriculum with fidelity.
- Deliver 45-minute lessons daily to small groups of students.
- Allocate 1 hour for lesson preparation and 1 hour for lesson delivery (per group).
- Collaborate with school staff and research personnel to support student learning.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with study protocols.
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of relevant experience (paid or volunteer) supporting children, youth, or adult learning programs; OR
- Associate’s degree or higher and at least 1 year of relevant experience in youth development, adult education, teaching, or program delivery.
- Strong communication skills (oral and written).
- Ability to work with diverse populations.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (word processing, data entry, communication).
- Reliable transportation to travel between school sites.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check.
- Completion of Protection of Human Subjects (CITI) training.
- Adherence to district-specific background check policies.
- Valid Texas driver’s license and proof of insurance (for any work-related use of a personal vehicle).
- Ability to learn and follow structured instructional procedures.
- Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
- Dependability, punctuality, and professionalism in working with schools.
- Effective collaboration and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and initiative.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with study guidelines.
- Prior experience working with elementary or middle school students in an instructional or support capacity.
