Kelly® is seeking an experienced Utility Scale Project Manager to lead a major solar project in Texas from late-stage development through commercial operation. This is a vital leadership role, responsible for schedule, budget, stakeholder coordination, contract administration, and overall project execution. Key Responsibilities
- Manage full project lifecycle: development, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and commercial operation
- Maintain and report on project schedule, budget, quality, and safety
- Coordinate internal teams, contractors, utilities, and key stakeholders (Oncor, ERCOT, landowners, and regulatory agencies)
- Oversee EPC contractors, construction milestones, quality, and change order management
- Ensure technical and regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and accurate project documentation
- Support procurement, contract administration, and commercial closeout
- Uphold a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all EHS standards
Must-Have Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field
- 5 years’ experience managing utility-scale energy or infrastructure projects
- Proven experience leading utility-scale solar or power generation projects through EPC and commercial operation
- Hands-on experience managing project budgets/schedules, EPC contracts, and construction execution
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to coordinate diverse teams and manage multiple priorities
- Strong technical knowledge of utility-scale project delivery
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP certification
- Experience with ERCOT projects and high-voltage interconnections
- Advanced degree (MBA/technical field)
- Experience supporting project finance, permitting, and due diligence
Work Requirements
- Travel to Texas project sites and stakeholder meetings as required
- Ability to work in office, remote, and active construction environments
- Willingness to work extended hours during key project phases
