Job Summary
- Perform work in a collaborative environment involving the operation of multiple laboratory instruments.
- Run experiments following procedures and collecting analytical data
- Maintain lab safety, housekeeping, and security.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Calculates, analyzes, and interprets data, properly documents results.
- Maintain DIAMS requirements relating to data generation.
- Prepare liquid calibration standards. Perform calibration, SQC for data accuracy to ensure proper compliance with guidelines.
- Upkeep inventory and update P&IDs drawings as necessary.
- Good skills in safe handling of many types of hydrocarbons.
- Interface with Ph.D. Chemists daily.
- Assist with training analytical techniques to new technicians.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering discipline and relevant work experience
- Capable of safe, reliable, and independent laboratory work given framing of problem and regular direction
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to learn new techniques as needed
- Ability to read and follow detailed instructions
- Concern for accuracy and precision
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, written and verbal
- Strong Excel experience, capable of interfacing with advanced computer software
