Job Title: Electronics Technician I (Repair Technician I)

Location: Lanham, MD 20706

Duration: Temp to Hire

Schedule: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Sunday to Saturday, 40 hours/week

Compensation: $28.00 DOE, Approx. $50,000/year if converted

Position Summary

KELY is seeking a detail-oriented Electronics Technician I to join our team at Motorola Solutions, Inc. in Lanham, MD. The selected candidate will play a vital role in the repair, upgrade, and programming of MSI two-way radios, ensuring high-quality service and satisfaction for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Repair, upgrade, and program MSI two-way radio devices
• Set up, adjust, and operate test equipment according to established procedures
• Monitor equipment performance and conduct test runs
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues using documented diagnostic methods
• Collect and report key test data, including serial/model numbers and product features
• Maintain thorough performance documentation and validate test results
• Clean devices and ensure equipment is ready for shipment
  
  

Expected Contributions (First 90–120 Days)

• Become fully trained and independently productive in all required tasks
• Contribute to repair throughput and quality goals
• Support documentation and compliance efforts
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology (EE/EET) or equivalent experience
• Understanding of RF and electronics theory
• Working knowledge of two-way radios and RF communications fundamentals
• Proficiency in Windows and Google Suite (Google Docs, Microsoft Excel)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent documentation accuracy and attention to detail
• Team-oriented work style
• Experience in a repair center or customer service environment
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined; cell phone or laptop repair experience
• Familiarity with Motorola Solutions products
• Networking and computer hardware troubleshooting skills
  
  

Additional Details

• Security Compliance: Must be a U.S. citizen and able to speak, read, and write English fluently. No additional security checks required.
• Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. No use of Motorola or rental vehicles required.
• Work Environment: Onsite only; remote work is not available for this position.
• Time Tracking: Time in/time out sheets, submitted weekly and monthly.
