Permanent Position- Associate Chemist
Responsibilities
- Own and maintain analytical instruments (GC-MS, HPLC, NMR, Karl Fischer, etc.)
- Perform and report analytical testing on pilot plant samples
- Follow established methods and work instructions for product testing
- Prepare and validate laboratory standards and reagents
- Review data and enter results into electronic systems
- Partner with pilot plant teams to interpret results and support process improvements
- Perform routine maintenance and coordinate equipment repairs
- Support daily lab operations including inventory, ordering, and organization
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Environmental Science
- 2 years of experience in GC/GC-MS, HPLC, KF, NMR or a manufacturing/lab environment
- Hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Previous pilot plant and specialty chemical manufacturing experience preferred
