Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the site to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards using CCTV surveillance systems and physical inspections.
- Control access points by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors to prevent unauthorized entry.
- Respond swiftly to security incidents or emergencies, utilizing conflict management skills to de-escalate situations effectively.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and access records to ensure accurate documentation for future reference.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary, providing clear communication during incidents.
- Monitor CCTV cameras continuously to detect unusual behavior or security breaches, reporting findings to management promptly.
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by observing and reporting theft or vandalism activities while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Requirements
- Valid New York State Security Guard License
- Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is preferred; certification in security or surveillance is a plus.
- Knowledge of CCTV systems, loss prevention techniques, conflict management strategies, and emergency response procedures.
- First aid and CPR certification are highly desirable to provide immediate assistance if needed.
- Ability to remain alert during long shifts while maintaining a professional and approachable presence.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members, visitors, and emergency responders.
