Security Site Supervisor

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and vigilant Security Site Supervisor to lead our security operations at a high-profile port facility. In this role, you will oversee the safety and security of the premises, manage a team of security personnel, and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Your proactive approach will help maintain a secure environment for staff, visitors, and assets, while also coordinating emergency responses when necessary. Duties

• Supervise and coordinate daily security activities to ensure the safety of all personnel and property on site
• Lead security team members, oversee and manage scheduling, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback to enhance operational effectiveness
• Directly interface with the client.
• Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems and other monitoring tools to detect suspicious activity or security breaches
• Manage access control procedures for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors to prevent unauthorized entry
• Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, including medical situations requiring first aid or CPR, conflicts, or security threats
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and emergency responders during investigations or critical incidents
• Maintain detailed records of security activities, incident reports, shift logs, and surveillance footage for accountability and review.

Skills

• Active New York State Security Guard License
• Proven experience in security management, law enforcement, military service or related fields with a focus on site supervision
• Strong knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV and loss prevention techniques
• Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively
• Proven track record of excellent interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with law enforcement procedures and legal considerations relevant to security operations
• Ability to lead a team with clear communication, motivation, and organizational skills
• Knowledge of security protocols including access control, CCTV monitoring, and incident reporting

Pay: $ $25.00 per hour
