Office Manager
Kelly & Lemmons is a small law firm consisting of 6 attorneys and 3 administrative staff members.
We are seeking an experienced individual to manage the office and support the attorneys and staff, while maintaining the billing and accounting systems. This position requires the individual to handle many responsibilities at the same time. The candidate must also be exceptionally organized, detail orientated and a motivated self-starter. This individual should be able to maintain a positive attitude, be reliable, and have excellent interpersonal skills.
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years' experience in Office Management
- Strong knowledge of accounting practices
- BA or associate degree preferred, but not required
- TABS/APS/GLS Legal systems knowledge helpful
- Advanced Microsoft office skills including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting
- IT and problem solving experience a plus
- Pass a Criminal and Credit background check
Job Duties:
- Cash management, budget monitoring and bank reconciliations
- Full responsibility over the billing system and processes including client accounts
- Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and General Ledger oversight
- Generation of monthly and annual financial statements and reports
- Sales and Use tax preparation and reporting
- Payroll through web-based processor and preparation of G/L entries
- HR duties for employee records/insurance and benefits
- Maintain business insurance policies
- Prepare budget and cash flow reports
- Prepare yearend data used in the preparation of Corporate Taxes by the CPA
- Manage the purchase and maintenance of office supplies and equipment
- Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors
- Complete special projects as requested
