Job Description for Facilities Manager

A Facilities Manager with experience in Microsoft Project and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) plays a crucial role in overseeing the lifecycle management of assets, ensuring compliance with policies, and optimizing asset utilization/effectiveness. This includes managing project and maintenance activities by

delivering on asset objectives, costs and timelines, “Reserve” forecasting, and maintaining accurate asset records using project and CMMS tools. Below are the key responsibilities, qualifications, and skills required for this position.

Responsibilities

*Oversee the lifecycle management of technology and physical assets, ensuring optimal utilization and compliance with policies.

Implement and manage CMMS to track maintenance schedules, asset performance, and inventory levels.

Develop and maintain asset management policies, procedures, standards, and key performance indicators to improve operational efficiency.

Coordinate with procurement teams for asset acquisition and disposal, ensuring compliance with contracts and regulations.

*Primary projects gatekeeper utilizing Microsoft Project to plan, execute, and monitor projects, ensuring timely completion, cost stewardship, and resource allocation.

Develop RFP’s/Basic Data

Define project strategies, goals and scope.

Negotiate contractor proposals for price and deliverables

Create detailed project plans outlining tasks, timelines, milestones, and resources.

Manage projects against plans, cost, and deliverables Identify and manage project risks.

Develop and manage project budgets.

Monitor expenses and ensure financial accountability.

· Foster communication with General Manager

· Generate monthly reports on asset performance and maintenance activities

· Present monthly project status reports to the General Manager (format to be defined)

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

· 3 years of experience in asset management or a related role, with a focus on technology, project management, and maintenance management of assets.

· PMP certification or equivalent (experience)

· Certified CMRP certification or equivalent (experience)

· Proficiency in Microsoft Project for project management and planning.

· Experience with CMMS software for tracking and managing maintenance activities.

· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Skills

· Strong leadership and organizational skills.

· Proficiency in CMMS and project management tools and methodologies.

· Knowledge of asset lifecycle management principles and best practices.

· Familiarity with inventory management and procurement processes.

· Excellent communication and organizational skills.

This role is essential for ensuring that assets are managed efficiently, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
