We’re looking for a creative, detail-oriented Structural CAD Designer to join our team in Fort Wayne. In this role, you’ll work on a variety of projects—from retail point-of-purchase displays to custom corrugated packaging solutions for manufacturing customers.

You’ll combine creativity, engineering, functionality, and visual appeal to turn customer ideas into practical, production-ready products.

What You’ll Do

As a Structural CAD Designer, you’ll play a key role in taking projects from initial concept to finished product. You’ll work closely with our sales team, customers, production team, and other internal departments to develop packaging solutions that look great, perform well, and can be efficiently manufactured.

• Partner with our sales team to develop creative, effective, and manufacturable structural packaging solutions.
• Design corrugated packaging and displays with a focus on visual appeal, structural integrity, cost, and ease of assembly.
• Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD designs, prototypes, technical drawings, renderings, photographs, and assembly instructions.
• Develop structural prototypes and take concepts from initial design through testing, production, assembly, and final placement.
• Manage, organize, and distribute design information, prototypes, and electronic files throughout the project life cycle.
• Evaluate, improve, and refine existing designs to meet customer needs, production capabilities, and cost requirements.
• Collaborate with customers, sales, production, and other internal teams to transform ideas into real-world, production-ready solutions.
• Assist with troubleshooting and design modifications throughout the manufacturing process.
• Perform other related duties as needed.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience with 2D and 3D CAD software is required.
• Experience with ArtiosCAD is preferred, but not required.
• Previous experience in corrugated packaging, structural packaging design, or a related industry is preferred, but not required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to visualize and design in both 2D and 3D.
• Ability to work effectively with customers, sales representatives, production, and internal teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• A hands-on approach and willingness to work with physical prototypes and samples.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
