What’s a typical day as a Machine Operator? You’ll be:
- Setting up and operating machines (conventional or CNC) while performing tooling changes and programming CNC controls.
- Conducting preventive maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Working on a variety of complex parts to close tolerances with minimal supervision.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have a High School Diploma or GED, with a commitment to learning Kennametal's Health & Safety procedures.
- Possess good communication skills and are mechanically inclined, demonstrating strong mathematical abilities.
- Preferably have 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including machine operation experience and technical school certification or apprenticeship completion.
