Title: Material Planner IIDuration – 6 months (Possibility of Further Extension or conversion into a Permanent role)Location – Walkersville, MDPay Rate - $ 25.39 / hr W2 (No Benefits)Background on the PositionThis role is pivotal in maintaining the seamless flow of materials that support manufacturing operations and requires a proactive approach to supply planning, coordination, and inventory management.Operational Support: Ensures daily material availability through execution and monitoring of MRP results, release of purchase requisitions, and coordination with buyers and functional teams to prevent production delays.Planning Oversight: Maintains accurate material master data and planning parameters in SAP ECC to balance service levels, inventory targets, and demand fluctuations while supporting short-term and long-term production goals.Process Enhancement: Identifies and implements opportunities to improve planning accuracy, streamline communication between Planning, Purchasing, and Quality, and reduce waste through data-driven analysis and system optimization.Problem Resolution: Investigates and resolves material shortages, capacity constraints, and exception messages by collaborating across functions and escalating issues through tiered meeting structures when necessary.Cost Management: Drives efficient inventory utilization through SMOG analysis, safety stock optimization, and reduction of scrap and obsolescence, contributing to cost control and operational efficiency.
