EXPERIENCED PIPELAYER FOR WET UTILITIES

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Pipelayer specializing in wet utility systems to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining underground utility pipelines including sanitary sewer, stormwater, water supply, and other underground infrastructure. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation, blueprint reading, and utility trenching will ensure the successful execution of complex utility system installation projects. Duties

• Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks to excavate trenches and prepare sites for pipe installation.
• Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately follow project specifications.
• Install underground utilities including sanitary sewers, stormwater systems, water supply lines, and wastewater systems with precision and adherence to safety regulations.
• Utilize utility locating tools and techniques to identify existing underground utilities before trenching or excavation begins.
• Perform construction trenching tasks ensuring proper pipe alignment using pipe lasers and other measurement tools.
• Conduct concrete finishing, welding, and other related tasks as needed for utility system connections and repairs.
• Follow federal construction safety regulations and company safety protocols diligently to maintain a safe work environment at all times.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a pipelayer working on underground utility installation projects, especially with sanitary drainage systems, sewer lines, stormwater systems, or water supply infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks.
• Skilled in blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and following construction plans accurately.
• Familiarity with utility locating methods and underground utilities installation procedures.
• Ability to operate pipe lasers for precise pipe alignment during installations.
• Experience with construction trenching techniques specific to wastewater systems and sanitary sewers.
• Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and adherence to safety protocol standards.
• Competence in welding, concrete finishing, hand tool usage, and basic pipeline repair techniques.
• Construction site experience with a focus on underground utilities installation projects involving oil & gas or municipal infrastructure is preferred.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
