Keller Preece PLLC is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Patent Prosecution Legal Assistant/Paralegal. Prior intellectual property experience is preferred but not required. Position Overview
The position provides in-office training on various patent prosecution tasks. The role will provide support to the patent prosecution team along with assisting with minimal day-to-day office operations.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with systems, learning new software, improving processes, and ensuring information is organized and accurate.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact by answering and directing incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
- Review incoming correspondence from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and prepare response templates and supporting documentation.
- Assist with the preparation, proofreading, and filing of patent prosecution documents with the USPTO.
- Review patent records, forms, and supporting documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with firm procedures.
- Assist with document organization, electronic file maintenance, and administrative support for patent matters.
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and other patent professionals to ensure timely and accurate handling of patent prosecution matters.
- Support the patent prosecution team with administrative tasks and special projects.
Qualifications

Salary
$21-$34 per hour ($44k-$70k annually), depending on experience and qualifications.
Salary : $44,000 - $70,000
