Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Marine Construction Worker, where you will play a vital role in executing complex marine infrastructure projects, such as building docks, seawalls, installing boat lifts, and doing repairs.
Duties
- Operate heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and front loader trucks to prepare and maintain construction sites.
- Assist with marine-specific tasks such as shoreline stabilization, pile driving, and dock/deck carpentry.
- Conduct utility locating to identify underground utilities and prevent damage during excavation activities.
- Support paving operations and ensure proper compaction and surface quality for marine access roads or pathways.
- Maintain safety standards by inspecting equipment, adhering to safety protocols, and documenting site conditions regularly.
- Assist in site setup, demolition, cleanup, and project-specific tasks to ensure smooth workflow progression.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and dump trucks in construction settings.
- Prior experience working on construction sites with a focus on marine or shoreline projects is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of utility locating techniques and familiarity with underground utility systems.
- Strong understanding of construction safety practices and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; relevant certifications in heavy equipment operation are preferred.
