Our client, a well-established media and professional development company is seeking a Director of Enterprise Sales to lead their membership and sponsorship sales organization. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a fast-growing company.
The company serves communications and marketing professionals through a premium membership council, events, and sponsorship opportunities. They are looking for an experienced sales leader who thrives in an account-based, enterprise sales environment.
This role is ideal for a player-coach who loves sales and can inspire, mentor, and drive results from a growing team.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team of 6 professionals across membership sales and sponsorship sales functions
- Achieve annual team revenue targets for new business acquisition, renewals, and retention rates (target: 85-90% renewal rate)
- Participate actively in sales calls to help close deals—this is a hands-on leadership role, not a desk-bound management position
- Drive team performance to ensure each sales representative closes 4-6 full membership contracts per month
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline; implement strategies to improve lead conversion rates
- Strengthen relationships with enterprise clients to encourage growth and increase annual spending per account
- Evaluate and optimize sales processes, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, marketing, content, technology, and executive leadership teams
- Deliver actionable insights on performance metrics, business planning, and data analysis to senior leadership
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and competitive landscape
- Attend conferences and networking events to prospect and expand professional network
- Maintain fluency in the company's suite of products and services and their value proposition
- 10 years of experience in B2B sales with a proven track record of closing enterprise deals
- Minimum 3 years of experience leading and managing sales teams
- Demonstrated success closing contracts with average deal values of $25,000 , preferably $50,000
- Experience in membership sales, SaaS, or subscription-based business models
- Experience selling to C-suite and senior executive buyers (Chief Communications Officers, VPs of Communications, etc.)
- Proficiency with CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)
Base Salary: $160,000 per year Commission (Total Comp: $200k - $250k)
