About the Role
We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented, and personable Administrative Assistant / Billing Coordinator to join our Bloomfield Hills office. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with people, staying organized, and playing an important role in keeping both the front office and billing processes running smoothly.
What You’ll Do
Front Office & Administrative Support
- Answer phones and respond to emails in a friendly, professional manner
- Schedule appointments and manage provider calendars
- Communicate with families, students, and staff
- Prepare and proofread reports and documents
- Maintain organized and accurate records
- Handle confidential information with care
Billing & Insurance Support
- Verify insurance benefits and eligibility (including Blue Cross Blue Shield and other payers)
- Submit insurance claims and track claim status
- Obtain and manage prior authorizations
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims
- Post payments and assist with accounts receivable
- Support accurate documentation for billing purposes
What We’re Looking For
- Warm, professional, and strong interpersonal skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and stay on top of multiple priorities
- Clear communication skills (written and verbal)
- Experience in a medical or behavioral health office preferred
- Experience with billing, insurance claims, or prior authorizations strongly preferred
