Keker, Van Nest & Peters LLP is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Litigation Paralegal to join our
Paralegal team. This individual will report to the Paralegal Manager and will provide comprehensive
support to attorneys in complex litigation matters. This position supports multiple-case teams and
would preferably have 2-5 years’ experience of litigation. The position requires both self-motivation
and great teamwork, excellent organizational and proofreading skills, and the ability to multi-task.
A good understanding of the phases of litigation in both federal and state courts is important. The
ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast
paced environment, and experience collaborating with attorneys and others to ensure seamless
case management and operational support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Be a team player who works well with others.
• Review, organize and index case materials, including pleadings, communications,
document productions, etc.
• Generate status reports, logs, and indices.
• Collaborate with internal team to track court docket calendar.
• Aid attorneys in preparing declarations, notices, and discovery requests.
• Review and cite, check filings and organize appropriate exhibits.
• Assisting with fact and basic legal research.
• Review and assemble materials to be used at depositions, mediations, arbitrations and
trial, including exhibit lists.
• Prepare for and assist with mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Coordinate with support services, clients, opposing law firms, and courts.
• Perform additional duties as required.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree and paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program is preferred;
equivalent work experience will be considered.
• Minimum two years of paralegal experience in a litigation environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
• Strong attention to detail and strong proofreading skills.
• Understanding and working experience with e-discovery.
• Experience with litigation software, such as Westlaw, iPro, Relativity, LiveNote, etc.
• Ability to work overtime when needed.

Work Environment:
• Full-time, with flexibility for overtime as business needs require.
• The position is a hybrid role, working from our San Francisco office a minimum of three days
per week, and working remotely two days per week.
Compensation and Classification:
• Salary Range: $110,000 – $130,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
• FLSA Status: This position is non-exempt.
