San Francisco, CA Full Time
POSTED ON 4/9/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 10/4/2026

About the Firm

Salahi PC is a litigation firm dedicated to advancing social and economic justice by taking on complex cases and providing superior representation in the fields of antitrust, civil rights and civil liberties, consumer protection, and employment. Based in San Francisco, the firm handles high-impact class actions and individual matters on behalf of workers, consumers, and others facing corporate abuse and government overreach.

The firm is also actively investigating new antitrust, civil rights, campus free speech, and consumer protection cases, as well as legal challenges to actions taken by the federal government.

The Role

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, resourceful paralegal who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. You’ll play a central role in all phases of litigation, from case intake and investigation through discovery, motion practice, and trial. As a member of a small but growing team, you’ll work closely with attorneys and have a direct impact on every case. This is a very team-oriented and collaborative environment with an emphasis on healthy and human interactions.

Responsibilities

Litigation Support & Court Filings

  • Handle legal filings in federal and state courts, including California state courts and federal courts.
  • Cite-check, proofread, and Bluebook legal documents, including handling document formatting and preparing tables of contents and tables of authorities.
  • Assist with drafting administrative motions, declarations, stipulations, pro hac vice attorney admissions, and collecting and preparing exhibits.
  • Work with attorneys to confirm compliance with local rules, standing orders, and administrative requirements for all court filings, including regarding courtesy copies.
  • Preparing shell documents for discovery requests and responses.

Case Management

  • Manage case files, litigation calendars, and deadlines across multiple simultaneous matters. The firm uses Clio Manage for calendar management.
  • Coordinate with vendors including process servers, court reporters, videographers, and printing services for hearing binders and deposition exhibits.

Client Communication & Intake

  • Handle intake calls and initial communications with potential new clients.
  • Communicate with existing clients via phone and email, keeping them informed on case developments.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate.
  • 2 years of experience supporting civil litigation, preferably in a plaintiffs’ firm.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Working knowledge of federal and California state court rules and procedures.
  • Proficiency with e-filing systems such as CM/ECF and state court portals.
  • Command of Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and Google Workspace.
  • Comfort working both independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with e-discovery platforms (e.g., DISCO).
  • Proficiency with legal research tools such as Westlaw.
  • Knowledge of Bluebook citation format.
  • Experience with macOS.
  • Proficiency in Spanish or another language spoken by the firm’s clients is a plus, but not required.
  • Interest in or commitment to social justice, civil rights, or public interest work.

Work Arrangement

Although this is a fully remote position to start, there is a preference for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay Area. In-person meetings and travel may be required from time to time, including for court hearings, depositions, conferences, or other business. The firm may eventually open a workspace in San Francisco with a flexible policy for in-person attendance.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this position is $70,000-95,000, commensurate with experience. The position also includes a discretionary performance-based bonus.

The firm offers a comprehensive benefits package including:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) with employer match.
  • Health flexible spending account.
  • Life insurance.
  • Flexible paid time off policy.

The firm is in its second year and still growing. The ideal candidate would be willing to commit for at least two years. There is room for growth as the firm expands. Ideal for a motivated paralegal seeking long-term growth within a supportive legal team.
