Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, load, and unload produce in our warehouse. This is a vital role in our operations, ensuring the efficient and safe movement of goods.
Duties:
- Operate a forklift to move produce within the warehouse
- Load and unload trucks using a forklift
- Stack and organize products in designated areas
- Perform inventory counts and maintain accurate records
- Inspect and maintain the forklift equipment
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times
Requirements:
- Previous experience operating a forklift, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts
- Strong understanding of shipping and receiving processes
- Basic math skills for inventory management
- Mechanical knowledge to perform routine maintenance on the forklift equipment
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
