- M3 "The Color of Our Lives" Lighting Technician
- M4 "Dance Concert" Video Technician
- M4 "Dance Concert" Lighting Technician
Duties/Responsibilities
Technician’s duties and responsibilities may vary widely according to TAD production needs. They may include:
- be on duty for TAD performances, available to assist with any/all production trouble-shooting.
- work to cover design/tech staff if ill/on vacation
- work in the scene shop in labs or work calls on any needed technical items, scenic fabrication, painting, props, etc.
- will require work with TAD design/Technical theatre student, and TAD Work Study students. Supervision of students may be required.
- All work is planned, and scheduled by The Theatre and Dance Technical Director (Craig Lindsay).
- Areas of concentration (100% time) may include to be “on duty” for TAD performance, work to cover design/tech staff if ill/on vacation, work in the scene shop in labs or work calls on any needed technical items, scenic fabrication, painting, props, and work with TAD design/Technical theatre student, and TAD Work Study students. Supervision of students as required.
Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:
- BA in Theatre or Performing Arts required. At least one year of professional work in the Arts industry, post-undergrad required.
- Wide knowledge of technical theatre practices in scenic/lighting/sound production, and leadership are required.
- Qualifications will vary depending on the specific nature of the work required. Advanced general technical theatre knowledge is required.
