The Child Development Center (CDC), located on the Keene State College Campus in Elliot Hall, is a demonstration early childhood education site for Keene State College students, practicing professionals, and young children and their families. The CDC invites applicants for Early Childhood Substitute Teachers to work in partnership with the Center staff to achieve highest standards of quality for children, families, and college students.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Support CDC staff in the implementation of the education and care program for young children.
- Implement daily curriculum, maintain and organize the learning environment, support and nurture young children, demonstrate kindness and respect in relationships with children, families and staff, and maintain confidentiality.
Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:
- Substitute teachers must meet NH Licensing associate teacher qualifications.
- Must be at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and complete at least 9 credits in related coursework with a child or human growth and development focus.
- Must have sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform duties and responsibilities of this position, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Upon hire, a CPR/First Aid course, background check for NH child care personnel, health record and NH Health and Safety courses will be completed.
