The History Department at Keene State College is seeking qualified applicants for an adjunct faculty positions for Fall 2026 in Early Republic/Nineteenth-Century U.S. History. This is a part-time non-benefitted position.
Duties/Responsibilities
(50%)
- Design and delivery course content for credit courses
- Prepare course materials.
- Assess student learning.
- Assign grades
- Refer students to support services.
- Provide supplemental instruction and mentorship to students.
- Abide with USNH and KSC policies
- Participate in appropriate departments/unit meetings.
Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:
- Ph.D. in history
- Peer-reviewed publication in early republic political history
- Expertise in early republic and 19th-century US political history
- Ability to teach a course in capitalism and slavery in the US, 1790-1850..
- Experience teaching courses on American expansion in the antebellum period, capitalism and slavery, 1790-1850, and history of Boston.
