Description
- Accurately, safely and efficiently prepares outgoing shipments for both customers and vendors. Participates in all aspects of packaging, shipping and receiving by performing the following duties.
- Requires a minimum of 2 years of production shipping, receiving and inventory control experience.
- Forklift Certification or the ability to obtain certification.
- Good problem-solving skills and math skills
- Must have the ability to learn, understand and apply 5S standards to the inventory area
- Ability to read and speak English.
- Must have basic knowledge of the metric & imperial (fraction & decimals) systems
- Ability to maneuver up to 200 lbs. independently.
- Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. without assistance.
- Requires a thorough working knowledge of metals (re: types, grades, specifications) within 30 days of independent training.
- Ability to read tape measure (English & Metric) and dial/digital calipers.

- Efficiently and accurately prepare & pack completed parts for shipping or staging, to include stacking, packaging, shrink wrap and labeling.
- Prepare and consolidate parts to ship to an outside service.
- Accurately, safely and efficiently unloads and/or loads trailers for outbound shipments to meet customer & vendor demands.
- Verify that parts and/or orders meet quality standards, including reporting any damage or discrepancies.
- Maintains a consistent high level of accuracy when performing job functions.
- Adheres to all procedures, work instructions, safety rules, and maintains a clean and orderly work area.

- May be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel regularly.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Exposure is frequent to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles - eye protection is required, and fumes, machine vibration, and noisy conditions, high temperatures, and occasional to a restricted space work area. All Keel locations are tobacco free where appropriate.
