About the Role:
Kyle Erwin Construction is looking for an experienced and safety-focused Hydro-Vac Operator to join our team in Boyd, Texas. The Hydro-Vac Operator is responsible for safely operating hydro-vac trucks and related equipment to perform non-destructive excavation and utility locating for various construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate hydro-vac truck to excavate around utilities using high-pressure water and vacuum systems
- Perform daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain and clean equipment to ensure proper operation
- Work safely around live utilities and follow all safety protocols
- Accurately complete required paperwork, logs, and reports
- Communicate with site supervisors and crew to coordinate work
- Travel to various job sites as required
Requirements:
- Must be at least 25 years old
- Valid Class A or B CDL with tanker endorsement
- Clean driving record and valid DOT medical card
- Previous experience operating hydro-vac or vacuum excavation equipment preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
- Willingness to travel locally or regionally as needed
