PTAC & Refrigeration Technician
Location: Kearney, NE (with occasional travel to Hastings & Grand Island)
Schedule: Full-Time (Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, some weekend availability)
Younes Hospitality is seeking a dependable, skilled PTAC & Refrigeration Technician to maintain and repair PTAC units, ice machines, and commercial refrigeration equipment across our hotel portfolio. This position is based in Kearney and includes occasional travel using a company-provided vehicle.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain PTAC units, ice machines, refrigerators, and freezers.
- Perform preventive maintenance, annual PTAC cleanings, and quarterly ice machine service.
- Troubleshoot HVAC and refrigeration systems while supporting on-site maintenance teams.
- Maintain parts inventory and complete work orders using the company CMMS.
- Ensure compliance with EPA Section 608 regulations and company safety standards.
- Travel to area properties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical HVAC/Refrigeration training preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of commercial PTAC and refrigeration repair experience.
- EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal preferred).
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work independently.
Preferred:
- Hospitality maintenance experience.
- Familiarity with PTAC brands such as Gree, LG, GE, and Amana.
