What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Clerk position at KDM?
The Shipping Clerk is responsible for coordinating and processing incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure products are delivered accurately and on time. This role plays a critical part in maintaining inventory accuracy, preparing shipping documentation, tracking shipments, and supporting production and customer delivery requirements. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. We have 1st and 2nd Shifts available.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Shipping amp; Receiving Operations
- Shipment Documentation amp; Label Creation
- Inventory Tracking amp; Record Maintenance
- Order Verification amp; Accuracy Checks
- Carrier Coordination amp; Shipment Scheduling
- Material Receiving amp; Processing
- Quality amp; Compliance Support
- Cross Department Coordination
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents, packing slips, and work orders.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as required up to 50 pounds.
Preferred
- Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing experience.
- Experience with UPS, FedEx, or other shipping software and carrier systems.
- Experience working with inventory management or ERP systems.
- Forklift experience or certification.
