Job Summary

The Comeback to Complete (C2C) Coordinator will lead efforts to re-engage career and technical education students who have stopped attending KCTCS before completing their credentials, with a focus on those who have accumulated stranded credits. This position supports students by providing personalized outreach, transitional advising, and guidance while connecting them to their preferred KCTCS campus and community resources to overcome barriers and achieve credential completion. Advising is considered one component of the role, but the position is primarily a coordinator function—the C2C Coordinator provides short-term academic guidance, including reviewing records, addressing outdated or discontinued programs, and clarifying next steps, before transitioning students to campus-based advisors for ongoing support. In addition, this role contributes to a larger statewide agenda by leading stakeholder meetings aligned to this student population and, when necessary, collaborating with groups such as the Student Affairs Council to review outdated policies or seek exceptions that remove barriers and better support student re-engagement and credential completion.

Positions with the KCTCS System Office located in Versailles, KY are term-contract positions, with the expectancy of continuance based on performance.

KCTCS offers a hybrid work schedule with a requirement to be onsite a minimum of 3 days per work week. Hybrid work schedules are subject to periodic review and may be modified or terminated at any time.

Job Duties:

Outreach and Engagement: Develop and implement targeted outreach strategies to identify and re-engage former KCTCS students, particularly those in high-wage, high-demand technical programs and those with stranded credits. Use personalized messaging and multiple communication channels (phone, email, text) while collaborating with marketing and college partners to ensure consistent and effective student contact

Student Support: Provide individualized guidance to stop-out students by reviewing transcripts, clarifying program requirements, and helping them understand updated or discontinued program pathways. Assist with transitional advising, including academic planning, credit for prior learning, financial aid options, and student record challenges, before connecting students to assigned campus advisors for long-term support.

Data Management and Reporting: Collaborate with KCTCS data teams to identify eligible students, track outreach and advising outcomes, and monitor progress. Maintain detailed records to inform institutional strategy and share updates with stakeholders and grant funders.

Resource Navigation: Help students overcome barriers to re-enrollment and completion by connecting them with campus and community resources such as childcare, transportation, food assistance, and mental health services. Ensure students have access to wraparound supports that address non-academic challenges impacting persistence

Policy and Exception Coordination: Collaborate with the Student Affairs Council and other system-level groups to identify outdated policies that hinder student re-engagement. Work with stakeholders to recommend updates, pursue exceptions where needed, and advocate for systemic changes that support credential completion.

Stakeholder Collaboration and Meeting Leadership: Represent KCTCS at meetings with internal and external stakeholders to align efforts around re-engaging stop-out students. Represent the program within statewide initiatives, ensuring consistent communication and collaboration across KCTCS colleges.
